"Attacking the Minnesota Personal Protection Act, a new law that allows most law-abiding residents to carry a concealed firearm, the mayors said it's unfair to deny cities the same rights the law provides to schools and private businesses. The law allows schools and businesses to ban weapons on their properties but excludes that discretion to cities."

" 'What we are simply asking is let's take away those inconsistencies,' Duluth Mayor Gary Doty said at a Capitol news conference." ...

Let's start by getting one thing straight: Schools, businesses, and cities don't have Rights - only people have Rights...

The owner of a private business has the Right to set the rules on his own property. It is he who should be held responsible if his actions cause another person to be injured.

WHAT THEIR ARGUING ABOUT IS SO STUPID. PERSONALLY I COULD CARE LESS WHETHER SOMEONE PUTS A SIGN OUTSIDE THEIR BUSINESS SAYING "NO GUNS". FIRST OFF ITS CONCEAL AND CARRY NOT BRANDISH YOUR HANDGUN, SO HOW ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO KNOW IN THE FIRST PLACE WHETHER YOUR PACKING OR NOT, AND THEY HAVE TO VERBALLY WARN YOU BEFORE YOU CAN ACTUALLY BE CHARGE. SECOND I WOULD RATHER HAVE ALL THE GUN GRABBING YUPPIES PUT SIGNS LIKE THAT OUTSIDE THEIR BUSINESSES. THEN I'LL KNOW NOT TO PATRON THEIR ESTABLISHMENTS AND WHO THE REAL ENAMIES ARE. BUT I'LL LET THE CRIMINALS TAKE THEM OUT.

INSTEAD OF SIGNS SAYING "NO GUNS". THEY SHOULD PUT SIGNS UP SAYING "ROB ME, WERE ALL UNARMED USELESS IDIOTS IN HERE". I THINK THEY'LL FIND OUT REAL QUICK AFTER THEY START LOSEING ALLOT OF THEIR BUSINESS AND GETTING TARGETTED IN ROBBERIES THAT THE ARMED LAW ABIDEING CITIZEN, WHETHER YOU KNOW THEM OR NOT, IS THEIR FRIEND. GOD BLESS THE USA.

If you car about your rights on city property, see the US Supreme court Hicks case.
