The Willoughby News-Herald has published an editorial opposing HB347, which would prevent certain CHL-holders from having their names published in the media.
Quotes from the editorial:
"These gun advocates don't fear criminals. Rather, they fear public accountability. If concealed gun permit holders can't deal with this scrutiny, they should turn in their weapons."
Our response:
"The News-Herald speaks of public accountability. Please list for your readers each and every instance in the last year where you have ended a crime story with “and the crack-head did not have a license to carry a concealed handgun.” Just what sort of accountability are you talking about, if you do not even take this most logical step in your reporting?" |

And now the Willoughby News-Herald is nationally famous for its bias, disregard for the law, and antagoism toward everyone else's constitutional rights, when no one would ever have heard of it otherwise. Sweet.
Always, always confront them. They wonder why readership and ad sales are falling. Let them know: a major reason is US.
