"While deliberating in a first-degree murder case yesterday, Baltimore jurors were escorted from the jury room to the courtroom to watch a videotape of trial testimony they had requested to see."

"When they returned three hours later, they made a discovery as shocking as some courtroom evidence."

"A thief had gotten into the locked jury room and stolen their money, cellular telephones and car keys."

" 'They were angry, hot, livid,' said lawyer Warren A. Brown, who was in the courtroom on another matter. 'Here they are, jurors in a murder case, and we can't even trust the court to protect their belongings from thieves. It's mind-boggling.' "

"Police think it was an inside job." ...

I'm shocked! Imagine one's person and property not being secure in a court house, presumably with armed guards and heightned security in place! The only place I can think of that would be safer is in a prison where all the people inside are disarmed and totally controlled. Surely no ill could come og people and property there. It would be a great place to hold court.

and I bet they didn't get compensted for thier loss. why police have no duty to protect you. they are only historians. bet the thief doesn't get caught either. anywhere there are disarmed victim zones there is more likelyhood of crime.

You can bet your ass tho that the U.S. Marshalls kept the judge and his property protected!

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She well knows that by one enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom. — JOHN QUINCY ADAMS (1821)
